The SDSS project operates an Supernova Search Programme, event messages about potential SNe candidates are passed to the Caltech event node before being rebroadcast onto the backbone.
These messages are now being injected into the Caltech event feed 
and, as part of the eSTAR project's work on event visualisation, we have released an open beta interface showing the timeline for the SDSS Supernova Search messages.
